635 nabbed for violating election gun ban

MANILA, Philippines – The number of gun ban violators has climbed to 635, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The PNP said from the 635 arrested, 569 were civilians.
A total of 41 security guards, 11 government officials, 11 police officers, 2 soldiers and a CAFGU member were also arrested for carrying guns.
Police have also confiscated 556 firearms, 164 bladed weapons, 20 airsoft guns, 20 grenades, and 3,537 ammunition since the election gun ban was implemented on January 13. – report from Edwin Sevidal, dzMM
