(ANNOUNCEMENT) - The wake for former Biliran Congressman Gerardo S. Espina Sr. is at The Ascension Chapels by Arlington in Quezon City.

Espina died last Wednesday at the age of 77.

His wake will be until February 12 (Tuesday).

Interment will be at the Loyola Memoral Park in Sucat, Parañaque City after the 8 a.m. Mass at Arlington.

Departure from Arlington is set at 9:30 a.m.

In his message issued last Thursday, House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte said Espina was, among others, a scholar, writer, and singer.

He extended his sympathy to the Espina family, including the late congressman's successor, his son Rep. Rogelio J. Espina.

Espina is survived by his wife Ciony and children and in-laws.
