Fire hits houses in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – A fire hit 5 houses in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Friday morning.

The fire, which reached the second alarm, started at 8:33 a.m., according to Chief Inspector Crespo Diaz of the Manila Fire Department. The fire was declared out at 9:15 a.m.

The blaze allegedly started at the house of a certain Babes Tenorio along Tambunting Street in Barangay 373, Zone 4.

No one was reported hurt in the incident, which damaged about P200,000 worth of properties.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the blaze.
