Japanese businessman loses car to thief

MANILA, Philippines – A car belonging to a Japanese businessman was allegedly stolen in front of his home in Barangay De La Paz, Pasig City early Friday.

According to the owner, Kenji Keneko, he parked his silver Hyundai Accent with plate no. PRI-722 in front of his home along Mariano Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Keneko’s mother-in-law saw the vehicle speed off at around 4:30 a.m. but thought Keneko was driving it.

Col. Jessie Cardona, chief of Pasig City police, said their investigation of the incident is still ongoing. -- Report from Dennis Datu, dzMM
