MANILA, Philippines – A man who was reportedly drunk climbed an electric post in Barangay Daang Hari, Navotas City on Friday and threatened to jump from it.

The man was identified by police as truck driver Jessie Bonifacio, 32 years old.

Police had a difficult time convincing Bonifacio to get down from the post because he threatened to jump off each time they made a move.

He did not make any demands from police.

Bonifacio went down voluntarily after three hours, saying he was tired and hungry.

His relatives said Bonifacio had been drinking since Thursday night until Friday morning.

He was immediately brought to a nearby hospital because of wounds he sustained while climbing the post.
