MANILA, Philippines – An arrest warrant has been issued against Anthony Leal Nepomuceno, a suspect in the bar exams blast in Manila last September 2010.

According to former Senator Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel Jr., the warrant was issued by Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 3 Judge Jaime Santiago.

Nepomuceno, who is a member of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity, was charged with multiple frustrated and attempted murder.

He had denied his involvement in the blast.

At least 45 people, mostly students, were injured in the blast outside De La Salle University after a grenade was lobbed allegedly by warring fraternities.

One of the victims, law student Raissa Laurel, lost both legs in the explosion.

She is now working as a member of the staff of Senator Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III.
