NBI fails to arrest bar exams blast suspect

MANILA, Philippines – Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-National Capital Region failed to arrest the suspect in the bar exams explosion in 2010 that left at least 40 people injured.

The suspect Anthony Leal Nepomuceno was not found in his home in 2-D Tavera St., Brgy. Tanong, Marikina City.

His neighbors said that since Nepomuceno surfaced in 2010, he has not returned to his home.

Two arrest warrants have been issued by Judge Jaime Santiago of Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 3 against the suspect for illegal possession of firearms and multiple frustrated murder and multiple attempted murder.

A P200,000 bail was set for the multiple frustrated murder and multiple attempted murder charges.

Based on NBI records, aside from his home in Marikina, Nepomuceno registered his provincial address in 15 Del Carmen, Villa Mendez, Mogpog, Marinduque.
