Motorcycle-rider nabbed for possession of 72 fake licenses
Odd as it may seem, this motorcycle-rider in Manila was nabbed by policemen for possession of too many driver's license.
Chief Inspector Roberto Domingo, night shift officer of the Manila Police District Station 3, said police seized from Angelito Padring a total of 76 driver's licenses at a checkpoint along Rizal Avenue around midnight Tuesday.
"We were surprised, he had so many driver's license," Domingo told ABS-CBN News.
When policemen checked the licenses, investigators found out that they were fake. Several licenses, professional and non-professional, still had no pictures and names.
There were also licenses named to an American, a Chinese, and an Indian. One license had a woman's picture, but her name was Alvin.
Domingo said Padring could have been selling fake driver's licenses, or using the IDs to rob somebody else's money.
"These licenses are being used as identification cards. What if he uses this to claim money," the police officer said.
Domingo said charges are being prepared against Padring. He said he will also inform the Land Transportation Office about the suspect's arrest to warn the agency. -- Niko Baua, ABS-CBN News
