NAIA transport coop leader shot dead

MANILA, Philippines – A transport cooperative leader was shot dead in Parañaque City Tuesday morning, police said.

Sr. Supt. Billy Beltran, Parañaque City police chief, said NAIA Transport Services Cooperative, Inc. chairman Edito Ruaya was killed inside the cooperative's compound along Dr. A. Santos Avenue in Barangay San Dionisio

The unidentified suspect shot Ruaya in the head and then boarded a motorcycle driven by another man at around 6 a.m.

Beltran said Ruaya had been receiving death threats. The motive for the killing was not yet established.

Scene of the Crime Operatives personnel are now in the area to conduct an investigation. – report from Dennis Datu, dzMM
