The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Sunday clarified that the number- coding scheme in Metro Manila is not suspended on Monday February 23.
Robert Nacianceno, MMDA general manager, told ABS-CBN News that the vehicular reduction program in Metro Manila’s busy streets would remain in operation and would not be suspended Monday.
The announcement comes after Malacañang on Thursday announced that February 23 will be a special holiday in all schools nationwide in observance of the 23rd anniversary of the EDSA I revolution.
Proclamation Number 1728, signed by Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita on orders of President Arroyo, contained the announcement announcing the special holiday in schools.
