3 suspects in Megamall heist named
MANILA – The police have identified three suspects in the daring robbery inside SM Megamall last January 26.
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) identified the suspects as Tho Mangulamas, Nasrudin Andal and Alex Dimalen Dicolano.
NCRPO director Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina said the three were members of the Tho Mangulamas robbery group, which had been tagged in the robbery of a Tambunting Pawnashop in Pasay City last August 26, 2012.
A P300,000 reward has been raised by the NCRPO for the arrest of the suspects.
The NCRPO said Andal allegedly fired the shots inside the mall that triggered panic among mall-goers.
Dicolano, on the other hand, was the one who allegedly bought the pipe wrench from a hardware inside the mall that was used to shatter the glass cases of F and C Jewelry Store.
A ballistics investigation revealed that the two slugs recovered from the jewelry store matched the two slugs recovered from the Pasay pawnshop.
Robbery charges have been filed against the three suspects.
