3 foreigners caught with shabu in Manila
MANILA – Three foreign nationals were arrested after being caught with suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) in Manila.
The suspects, Ghana national John Nana Brown, and Indonesians Fitri Wiji Utami and Radity Chusnul Fariz, were arrested inside Stonehouse Hotel along Mabini Street.
Anti-illegal drugs police seized at least 25 sachets of shabu from the suspects. The sachets were concealed in rolls of lace.
Brown denied being part of a drug syndicate. Police said the three may be part of the notorious West African Drug Syndicate.
The hotel security guard said the two Indonesians had been in the hotel for two days before they were arrested.
The suspects were brought to the National Bureau of Investigation headquarters.
