Parañaque cop accused of raping HS student

MANILA – Criminal charges have been filed against Parañaque Chief Insp. Mujalni Dugasan, commander of the Police Community Precinct 3, who is wanted for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl.

A rape charge in relation to the Child Abuse Law against the police officer has been filed before the city prosecutor’s office on Thursday.

Dugasan is being accused of raping a high school student of La Huerta National High School inside a car parked near the Parañaque Police Station last Tuesday.

The victim told police that she went to the station to meet a friend and was offered a ride home by Dugasan.

The 55-year-old Dugasan is due to retire on August 23, 2013 and due to receive over P2 million commutation leave benefits and monthly pension of P48,997.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief Director Leonardo Espina challenged Dugasan to surface to defend his name. -- Report from Gus Abelgas, ASB-CBN News
