Rerouting set for March 1 Manila triathlon

MANILA – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said some roads will be closed on Saturday, March 1, for the 1st Manila triathlon dubbed as "Tri Manila 2014."

The MMDA said the following roads will be closed as early as 2 a.m.:

  • Roxas Boulevard north and southbound lane from Buendia to Katigbak
  • Southbound lane of Bonifacio Drive from Anda Circle to Katigbak
  • TM Kalaw east and westbound lane from Ma. Orosa to Roxas Boulevard
  • Southbound lane of Ma. Orosa from P. Burgos to T.M. Kalaw
  • P. Burgos eastbound lane from Ma. Orosa to Roxas Boulevard
  • Pres. Quirino east and westbound lane from Taft Avenue to Roxas Boulevard
  • P. Ocampo from Taft Avenue to Roxas Boulevard

The MMDA said vehicles coming from northern part of Manila/Pier Zone intending to use the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard shall turn at Anda Circle, straight to A. Soriano St., right to Magallanes Drive, right to P. Burgos, then straight to Taft Avenue to point of destination.

Vehicles coming from the southern part of Manila intending to use the northbound lane of Roxas Boulevard shall turn right to Buendia, then turn left to Taft Avenue to point of destination.

Vehicles coming from the Jones, McArthur, and Quezon bridges intending to use the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard shall go straight to Taft Avenue to point of destination.

Vehicles coming from Pres. Quirino/Osmeña intending to utilize Roxas Boulevard shall turn left or right to Taft Avenue to point of destination.
