MANILA – Three men claiming to be agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) visited the home of Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III in Taguig City on Wednesday.

The three unidentified men were allegedly members of the NBI’s Technical Investigation Division, according to TV5 reporter Carla Lim.

Lim said she was contacted by the alleged agents asking if they could enter Kiram’s home with the TV5 crew.

Lim declined, but the men showed up in Kiram’s home anyway and introduced themselves as part of the network’s crew.

They stayed in the sultan’s home for about 30 minutes and were allegedly conducting surveillance in the area.

The incident prompted the Kiram family to tighten security and strictly screen media personnel who are given access to their residence. -- Report from Dennis Datu, dzMM
