MANILA – Two people were hurt in the fire that hit a residential area in Barangay Catmon, Malabon City on Thursday.

The injured victims were identified as Flordeliza Mira Fuentes, and Julito Bernales, 43.

Authorities said the fire started at around 7 a.m. and reached the second alarm before it was put out at 8:35 a.m.

The fire allegedly started in the home of a certain Josephine Ramos due to a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) that exploded.

An estimated 20 families were affected in the fire.
