MANILA – Several members of militant groups succeeded in entering the grounds of Malacañang on Thursday to protest the Philippine government's stand on the Sabah issue.

Some 100 activitists from the League of Filipino Stuents of the Philippines and Gabriela entered the Palace grounds through the main gate of the Palace's administration building.

The militants were protesting President Benigno Aquino III's supposed inaction on the Sabah issue, and his lack of support for the fighters from the Sulu sultanate who went to Sabah to assert their ownership of the territory.

As of posting, the protesters were already pushed outside the Palace gates. – report from Noel Alamar, dzMM
