Around P5 million worth of property was destroyed Monday after fire gutted a junk shop and four houses in Parañaque City.

No one was reported hurt during the blaze.

ABS-CBN News reported that the blaze burned down Traqueña junk shop and spread to four houses on Iba Street in Barangay San Martin de Pores past 1 a.m.

The car of junk shop owner Nilo Traqueña was also gutted.

Residents told arson investigators that they heard a spark from an electric post just before fire broke out inside the junk shop.  

Erwin Olaez, owner of one of the homes that burned down, Erwin Olaez, said he was about to sleep when fire broke out.

“This is the second time this has happened to us,” Olaez added.

Authorities are still determining the cause of the blaze.
