9 QC villages at 'high-risk' from measles

MANILA, Philippines - The Quezon City Health Department on Wednesday said it is monitoring 9 "high-risk" barangays for possible measles outbreak.
City health officials said the 9 barangays are: Apolonio Samson, Commonwealth Avenue, Payatas, Payatas A, Krus na Ligas, Pansol, Manresa and North Fairview.
A March 3 surveillance report said there were 11 confirmed measles cases and 82 suspected measles cases in the 9 barangays.
Officials said they will heighten anti-measles vaccination drives in the affected villages. Jeffrey Hernaez, radio dzMM
