8 hurt in Quezon Ave truck-jeep collision
MANILA - Eight people were hurt after a 14-wheeler container truck collided with a passenger jeep in the westbound lane of Quezon Avenue near West Avenue Thursday noon.
Jeepney driver William Aurelio said his vehicle was at a standstill when the truck hit them. The collision caused the jeepney to rotate and go on top of the center island.
He added that he only had five passengers at the time of the collision.
Two female passengers were severely injured while the other passengers sustained bruises and wounds on different parts of the body. They were brought to East Avenue Medical Center for treatment.
Aurelio, the truck driver, and his companion, refused to be brought to the hospital.
