MANILA – A man was stabbed dead inside an Internet shop in Tondo, Manila before dawn on Friday.

The victim, identified as Kim Charles Flores, was using the computer when the suspect suddenly barged into the shop and stabbed him in the chest with a butterfly knife (balisong).

Flores' girlfriend, Jelyn Eden, saw the stabbing incident. She said the suspect, a minor, had his face covered with a black shirt to conceal his identity.

Eden said Flores removed the knife from his chest, prompting a huge amount of blood to gush forth.

Flores was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.

The suspect remains at large. The motive for the crime has yet to be established. – report from Francis Faulve, ABS-CBN News
