MANILA, Philippines - Marlene Aguilar on Friday morning started a campaign to convince the Quezon City Regional Trial Court to order her son, road rage killing suspect Jason Ivler, back to the hospital.

Aguilar and a number of Ivler's supporters, holding streamers seeking justice for the injured road rage killing suspect, marched from her home in Blue Ridge Subdivision to the Quezon City Hall of Justice.

At the Quezon City Hall of Justice, the group held demonstrations seeking justice for Ivler.

Their chants, however, fell on deaf ears, literally, because Friday (April 9) was a holiday.

Aguilar wanted the court to reverse its earlier decision, ordering Ivler's transfer from the Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC) to the Quezon City Jail.

Ivler was rushed to the QMMC after sustaining a gunshot wound in the abdomen during a shootout with agents of the National Bureau of Investigation inside Aguilar's Blue Ridge home last January.

"Sumabog ang bituka niya at during the arraignment at the Quezon City court, [the judge] said he will allow him (Ivler) to fully recover [before ordering the transfer]," Aguilar told ABS-CBN's Umagang Kay Ganda.

She said that she was shocked when the court ordered the transfer. She claims that her son still needs close medical attention at the hospital.

"I want them to allow my son to undergo operation for his intestines to be restored," Aguilar said, adding that doctors at the QMMC could have been pressured by "this government" to issue a wrong diagnosis.

The court's order to transfer Ivler to jail was based solely on his doctor's diagnosis that he is already fit to be detained in a regular jail.

Aguilar said that she would continue marching from her house to the Quezon City Hall of Justice until the local court orders her son back to the hospital. With a report from Pia Gutierrez, ABS-CBN News
