Gateway Mall receives bomb threat anew
MANILA - The Gateway Mall in Cubao received another bomb threat on Friday morning, police said.
Senior Inspector Maricar Taqueban, chief of the Quezon City Police District Public Information Office, said an employee of Accenture received a text message saying that a bomb planted inside the mall would explode at 8 a.m.
Accenture's human resource officer Stephanie Lucena on Thursday morning received a similar text message from the same cellphone number.
The QCPD's Firearms and Ordnance Division immediately searched the mall, but found no trace of explosives.
The mall was declared safe even before its opening at 10 a.m.
Taqueban said police are now investigating the cellphone number that sent the two bomb threat text messages. -- Report from Johnson Manabat, dzMM
