MANILA - East zone concessionaire Manila Water has promised to supply the area managed by Maynilad Water Services, Inc. whose operations will be interrupted by flood control projects.

Manila Water said it will send 11 water tankers to the West Zone area.

Maynilad earlier said there will be service interruptions in its area of coverage because of the flood control project of the Department of Public Works and Highways, which will be implemented over the Holy Week.

The complete list of those affected can be found here.

“Kinikilala namin na ang tubig ay isang pangunahing pangangailang ng pamilya at bahagi ng aming sinumpaang serbisyo ang tiyaking may tubig ang lahat, kahit pa sa labas ng aming kusesyonaryo,” Manila Water Spokesman and Head of Corporate Communications Jeric Sevilla said.

Meanwhile, Sevilla assured that the East Zone will not be waterless this Holy Week.

“Walang pagbabago sa aming suplay ng tubig sa mga darating na linggo. Makatitiyak ang aming 6.3 milyong kustomer sa East Zone sa patuloy na 24/7 na serbisyo ng tubig,” he said.
