Snatcher nabbed for taking Lacson wife's earring
MANILA (UPDATED) - Manila police have arrested a notorious snatcher after he victimized the wife of former senator and Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, and current Presidential Assistant for Rehabilitation and Recovery Panfilo Lacson.
According to a source from the PNP, the suspect snatched one of Alice Lacson's earrings as she got off her vehicle in Divisoria on Monday afternoon.
Police immediately launched an operation to capture the suspect, identified only as alias "Nognog."
They were successful in locating and arresting him, along with the person who bought Mrs. Lacson's earring from him.
"Nognog" and the buyer are currently under police custody.
The buyer will be charged with violation of the Anti-Fencing Law. -- report from Edwin Sevidal, dzMM
