Police arrested four suspects linked to a counterfeiting syndicate in Binondo, Manila Wednesday night.

Police raided the Spring Hotel in Binondo district at 9 p.m. after receiving a tip from suspect Erwin Cabiling.

Seized during the raid were a laptop computer, printer, silkscreen and nail polish. Suspects Ricky Chang, Pacifico Gabina and Richard Reyes admitted using the equipment to manufacture fake money but said their operation was small-time.

Police arrested Cabiling after he used a fake P500 bill to buy a ruler at a general merchandise store in Binondo district. Cabiling later told police that he bought the fake bill from Reyes for P150.
