Coco Rasuman seeks reinvestigation of carnapping case
MANILA, Philippines -- The arraignment of alleged investment scam leader Jachob "Coco" Rasuman in connection with a carnapping case was reset Tuesday morning in San Juan Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 160.
This, after Rasuman and co-accused Amer Bashir Rasuman filed a motion for reinvestigation of the case.
Atty. Anthony Marvin Ponce De Leon argued that his clients have not yet presented their side during the course of the investigation.
The case stems from the complaint filed by a certain Hassan Panandigan.
The public prosecutor has been given ten days to comment on the motion.
The arraignment is set on June.
Rasuman was arrested November last year for several charges of syndicated estafa.
The case stems from the alleged scam of the Marawi City-based Coco Rasuman Group which allegedly victimized investors in Lanao Del Sur and nearby provinces.
