Erap admits Manila race is 'neck and neck'
'Hocus PCOS' spooks Erap
MANILA - Former President and now Manila mayoralty candidate Joseph Estrada is now backing calls to conduct a manual count of the May 2013 elections, at least at the local level.
Estrada said he will write an open letter to President Aquino to be published in major newspapers urging the President to ensure clean elections.
He said he will also ask Aquino to consider manual counting at the local level.
Estrada said, while he believes he has an edge over rival and reelectionist Mayor Alfredo Lim, he admits the race for mayor is neck and neck.
The former president also said he is worried of a "hocus PCOS" after the Commission on Elections failed to produce the precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machine source code for review by interested parties.
