MMDA revises truck ban
MANILA, Philippines – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has revised anew the truck ban in Metro Manila in view of the ongoing annual meeting of governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said trucks will be banned from from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. until today (May 4).
On the last day of the annual meeting on Saturday, May 5, trucks will be banned from using the road from 4 a.m. until 9 p.m.
MMDA earlier modified the truck ban schedule at 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the 4-day ADB meeting. But the MMDA had to change it again because of the “exigencies of the ongoing ADB Summit.”
MMDA said the regular truck ban hours of 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. will be implemented again on Monday, May 7.
