MANILA, Philippines – A small cargo plane made a rough landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Saturday morning due to technical problems.
Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Jose Angelo Honrado said the single-engine aircraft’s landing gear collapsed, forcing the plane’s nose to hit the runway.
The fish cargo plane of CM Aero came from Busuanga and landed at around 9:45 a.m. in Manila.
No one was reportedly hurt in the incident.
Authorities said flights were not affected as it only took airport personnel 20 minutes to clear the aircraft from the runway. -- Report from Dexter Ganibe, dzMM
