Residents found the corpse of a suspected drowning victim in a river in San Nicolas II, Bacoor, Cavite around 6 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities identified the victim as Emmanuel dela Cruz, 21.

Relatives said they last saw dela Cruz on Saturday before police conducted a drug raid in the area. They said dela Cruz jumped into the river during the raid, which might have caused his death.
