MANILA, Philippines - The weather on Wednesday afternoon seemed to be in tune with the atmosphere inside Congress as both Houses proclaim the 2 winning bets to the highest offices in the country.

Scattered rainshowers--coupled with thunderclaps--were experienced in some areas in Metro Manila while the joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives proclaimed Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and Jejomar Binay as the new president and vice president of the Philippines.

The thunderclaps somehow served as special sound effects to the speeches delivered by parliament leaders during the proclamation.

Hail storm

While applause and cheers reverberated inside Congress to greet the president- and vice president-elect, a hail storm was experienced in Zapote, Las Piñas City.

Las Piñas resident Eva Manuel Carreon told abs-cbnNEWS.com that the hail storm occurred around 2:40 p.m. and lasted for about 5 to 10 minutes only.

“Maliliit lang ng konti sa mothballs. Maingay ang patak parang may bumabato sa bahay namin kaya tiningnan naming sa labas,” Carreon said.

The weather bureau's daily report stated on Wednesday that Mindanao would experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. Luzon and Visayas will mostly experience rainshowers and thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.

An angel stood above the clouds holding a trumpet in one hand and a handful of sand on the other. He's been standing on the same cloud since the beginning of the campaign season. And at end of day, the angel looked up as if waiting for a sign.

But found none.

Then suddenly on June 11, 2010, the heavens grew dark and winds started to blow. As if receiving a sign, the angel nodded in compliance. He hurled the sands to the clouds. Thunderclaps roared. Then the angel put the trumpet on his lips and blew. Hailstorms emerged from the clouds. Lightning streaks from cloud to cloud. And as it rained, the angel threw a sad look below the 7,000 islands of a land called the Philippines.

The wishes has been fulfilled. Noynoy Aquino has been proclaimed President.

It's a sign of DOOM.

Congratulation...!

Congratulation to the president of the minority!

His 15 million supporters have all the reasons to celebrate because they prevailed over the voice and will of the 21 million majorities of Filipinos who do not want him to be their president.

To this, he should be thankful to his mother’s constitution that gives way to a president of the minority leads the majority, through its multi-party system.

An off shoot of the “Divide and Rule Principle” by the yellow people who crafted the Cory Constitution. This multi-party system serves the vested interest of the handful of families that dominated the Philippine politics and economy.

And this is one of the reasons why I advocate changing the 1987 Constitution. It makes the votes of the minority prevailed over the votes of the majority.

Now that the 15 million emotional votes prevail over the 21 million votes, I ask...

Imagine what will happen, now that we allow a person with no meaningful credential in leading and managing, holds the Chief Executive function of a multi-billion peso company, which needs to turn around?

Can a company survive, much more achieve growth, when it appoints a Chief Executive Officer, without experience, to be at the helm of its operation?

Will this be a shadow of another Aquino's Laizze-Faire governance?

The 21 million Filipinos cannot do anything to make him go away. All they can do is pray that the people around him for the next 6 years will adhere to his PERSONAL promise and commitment NOT TO BE A THIEF.

And for the next 6 years, Mr. President, please consider the following:

• Break up business cartels to create a business
environment that can employ the million talented
Filipinos forced to find employment abroad;
• Restructure government institutions, such as, the
Supreme Court, BOC, BIR, DPWH, etc….to remove red
tape and improve its credibility;
• Change the system of governance to make the
Philippines at peace with its Moslem separatist and
make us at par with our Asian neighbors.

I will make it happen...
