Fishing magnate charged for death of actress' sister
Police said Thursday it will file murder charges against a fishing magnate and six other people for the gruesome killing of a movie actress' sister two years ago.
Chief Superintendent Roberto Rosales, Metro Manila police chief, said murder charges are now being prepared against Lope Jimenez, owner of Buena Suerte Jimenez and Trading Company.
Rosales said Jimenez has been named by Manuel Montero, also a suspect, as one of those involved in the killing of Ruby Rose Jimenez, sister of movie actress Rochelle Barrameda.
Also to be charged by the police were Jimenez's brother, lawyer Manuel Jimenez II, who is the father of Ruby Rose's estranged husband, Manuel "Third" Jimenez III. The four other suspects include Eric Fernandez, Spike Discalzo, roberto Ponce alias Abet, and Ruby dela Cruz.
Rosales said Montero, who will also be charged with the same criminal case, has been placed under the police's custody. He said the suspect could be turned into a state witness for his confessions, which could lead to the possible resolution of Ruby Rose's kidnapping and murder.
It was Montero who told the police where they could find Ruby Rose's body, which was recovered from the murky waters of Navotas City on Wednesday.
The victim's cemented body was found inside a rectangular steel case dumped one nautical mile from the Navotas City's shore, police said.
Initial autopsy results said Ruby Rose could have died of suffocation, possibly as a result of being strangled. She disappeared in 2007 while in dispute with her husband over their two children's custody.
There are so much tangible
There are so much tangible evidence pointing directly to the accuse, this is gonna be really interesting, since this Jimenez family has been arrogant to just commit a crime with impunity, they must have a malacanang connection...WE WILL BE WATCHING THIS CASE CAREFULLY, AND THE HOPE THAT NO POLICE GENERAL ARE INVOLVED IN THIS SLAYING....BIG SCANDAL ~!!!
