Police arrested a suspected car parts thief in Timog area in Quezon City, Wednesday.

Police said Mac Almaseda, a junk shop worker, was arrested from his hideout in Scout Madriñan.

Investigators said Almaseda was positively identified by several witnesses as the one who took the side mirrors of at least two Toyota Fortuner vehicles and a Honda CRV parked along Scout Madriñan around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

An ABS-CBN News report said one of the vehicles is owned by hunk actor Piolo Pascual.

The stolen side mirrors have been recovered from Almaseda's hideout, police said. -- With a report from Doland Castro, ABS-CBN News
