Mother finds son's mutilated body in Pasig

MANILA - A man was hacked to death by his drinking buddies in Pasig City Friday night, police said.

Police Officer 2 Melvin Mendoza, Pasig City police investigator, said Jimmy Serbeto's mutilated body was found by her mother outside their house at Kangkungan Site in Barangay Manggahan.

The mother was awakened by a commotion outside their home, and when she checked, she saw her son's body lying on the ground. She told police that the killers could have been his son's drinking buddies, but declined to identify them.

Mendoza said the victim body had hack wounds all over, and the head was almost severed from the body.

He said they are having a hard time identifying the killers because of the mother's reluctance to cooperate. He said they were still looking for other possible witnesses in the killing. With a report from Dexter Ganibe, radio dzMM
