MANILA, Philippines - Airport police on Thursday arrested a 63-year-old American for possession of marijuana at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Police said Bruce Axel Odenberg was caught in possession of 15 sticks of marijuana while boarding a connecting flight to Davao City.

Odengerg arrived at the NAIA on board a Philippine Airlines flight from Los Angeles.

Aviation policeman Marcelo Tablatin said was caught while going through the x-ray and body frisking routines.

Tablatin said Odenberg refused to answer questions of the police.

The aviation police will turnover Odenberg to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
