Floods recede in parts of Metro Manila
MANILA, Philippines – The floods caused by tropical depression “Ferdie” over Metro Manila have receded as the weather disturbance moves farther away from the country.
In Manila, the floods that submerged UN and Taft Avenues have started to subside.
The same is true along Araneta Avenue in Quezon City. The street is now passable after it seemed like a river on Saturday due to incessant rains.
The waist-deep floods along Maria Clara N.S. Amoranto have also subsided.
Floods have also receded in San Juan, where Barangays Balong-bato, Salapan, Maytunas, Batis and San Perfecto were submerged.
Motorist can also pass by E. Rodriguez Avenue now that floods in the area have already decreased. – With reports from Ricky Velasco, Henry Ateulan, Robert Mano, dzMM
