Police have taken into custody a 13-year-old boy for possession of a kilo of marijuana in Malabon City.

Senior Superintendent Roberto Villanueva, Malabon police chief, said the boy was arrested during a buy-bust operation intended for a marijuana supplier.

Villanueva said police initially arrested a certain Roberto Wijangco, an alleged marijuana distributor in a school in Malabon.

He said anti-narcotics agents of the city police used Wijangco to set up his main supplier. Instead of personally delivering a kilo of marijuana, the supplier sent the 13-year-old boy.

Villanueva said that according to the boy, called by police as Jun-Jun, told anti-narcotics agents that the supplier pays him P50 for every delivery.

The boy told police that the supplier was his neighbor in Navotas City.

Police have yet to arrest the marijuana supplier.
