Businesswoman shot dead by riding-in-tandem suspects
MANILA, Philippines – A businesswoman was shot dead by two riding-in-tandem suspects on Vicente Cruz Street in Sampaloc, Manila on Sunday.
According to the Manila Police District, the victim is 58-year-old Mary Li Cua, who was on board a white Grand Starex van (PLQ 397) along with two companions.
Cua was already on her way home when their vehicle was approached by two suspects on board a motorcycle, who proceeded to shoot her.
Cua was rushed by the driver to the Ospital ng Sampaloc but was declared dead on arrival. She bore gunshot wounds to the head and right cheek.
Police have yet to uncover the motive behind the shooting as well as the identity of the suspects. -- Report from Zandro Ochona, DZMM.
