4 dengue deaths alarm Valenzuela City

MANILA, Philippines - The Valenzuela City government has intensified fogging operations as 4 of its residents have already died from dengue fever.

Ana Mejia, public information officer of the Valenzuela City hall, said the intensified fogging operations are being conducted in dengue-prone areas identified by the city health office.

Mejia said that according to the city health office, a total of 224 dengue cases have been recorded from January to July this year.

She said that 4 people, residents of Barangay Viente Reales, Bagbaguin, Marulas and Coloong, have died from dengue fever.

Mejia said that city health workers are already going door-to-door to teach residents on how to prevent dengue. -- Report from Dennis Datu, radio dzMM
