60 villages in Bacoor flooded, evacuation ongoing
MANILA - At least 60 out of 73 villages in Bacoor, Cavite is now affected by severe flooding as of Tuesday morning.
Bacoor Mayor Strike Revilla said he is urging residents to evacuate their homes as the high tide could worsen the floods.
Hanggang dibdib po natin," he told radio dzMM.
Revilla said he has already deployed trucks in major roads to evacuate residents. He said some areas are already isolated due to the floods.
Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla earlier declared a state of calamity as the province grapples with heavy rains and rising floods.
At least two people were killed in the flood while a third person was declared missing.
