Amid strong rains, fires hit Makati and Pasay
MANILA – Amid strong rains currently battering the metropolis, two fires hit the cities of Makati and Pasay on Tuesday morning.
The first fire erupted in a clothing warehouse at the corner of F.B. Harrison Street and Cuneta Avenue in Pasay City at 6:41 a.m.
The Pasay fire reached the 4th alarm before being declared under control at 10:19 a.m.
The other fire struck the second and third floors of a building owned by hardware store Ayala Builders along EDSA-Magallanes at around 9 a.m.
The fire reached the third alarm and was declared out at 10:10 a.m., according to Makati fire marshal Supt. Ricardo Perdigon. - report from Dennis Datu, dzMM
