After floods, truckloads of garbage on Roxas Blvd
MANILA – Truckloads of garbage from Manila were seen once again along Roxas Boulevard following the heavy rains and flooding this week that were spawned by the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat).
Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno said the garbage was swept ashore by waves from Manila Bay. He said the garbabe came from nearby provinces around the bay.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) personnel and city cleaners are now working to clear the vicinity of garbage. – report from Doris Bigornia, ABS-CBN News
