MANILA, Philippines - The bodies of 8 victims in the bloody Monday hostage crisis have been transferred to Manila funeral homes on Wednesday morning.

The 5 of the eight victims, namely Wong Tze Lam, Yeung Yee, Wa Fu Cheuk Yan, Yeung Yee Kam, and Tse Ting Chung, now lie at Harold Funeral Homes in Paco, Manila.

Meanwhile, the body of Leung Ken Kam Wing and those of his children Leung Doris Chung See and Leung Song Yi rest at Archangel Funeral Homes on Vicente Cruz Street, Sampaloc, Manila.

The families of the tourist victims refused to answer questions from the media.

Chinese media reporters who are also covering the incident told ANC that the families are condemning the untimely death of their kin.

According to Archangel Funeral Homes, the bodies are scheduled to be flown back to Hong Kong via a chartered plane at around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

The bloodbath was a result of the almost 12-hour siege on Monday, when disgruntled former senior police officer Rolando Mendoza held hostage more than 20 Hong Kong tourists at Rizal Park in Manila.
