New LPA may intensify into tropical depression
MANILA, Philippines – A low pressure area (LPA) was last spotted east of Dinagat Islands, and state weather bureau PAGASA said this LPA could intensify into a tropical depression within 24 to 36 hours.
If it does, it will be named “Nando.”
The LPA is also embedded along the monsoon trough affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Easter Visayas as well as Caraga should brace for moderate to heavy rains, which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
Meanwhile, those in Metro Manila, Laguna, Rizal, Quezon, the Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, the rest of Visayas and Mindanao can expect light to moderate rains.
The rest of Luzon will only have isolated rain showers. -- Report from ANC
