Police arrested four people, including a woman, after robbing jeepney passengers late Wednesday night in Ermita district, Manila.

Inspector Rommel Beneblazo of the Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspects as Albert Perenger, Alfonso Nator, Edwin Medalo, and Arial Deymos, all residents of P. Burgos Street in Ermita district.

The suspects were arrested after four jeepney passengers ran to a police checkpoint near the Manila City Hall and reported the robbery.

The complainants told the police that the suspects forcibly took their wallets and cellular phones while on board a jeepney bound for Quiapo district around 11 p.m.

Beneblazo said the suspects were positively identified by the complainants through the MPD's rogue's gallery. The MPD immediately formed a team and raided the suspects' lairs in Ermita.

The complainants' cellular phones and wallets were recovered from the suspects, who are now facing robbery charges.
