Two companies on Monday announced increases in the prices of their liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products effective Tuesday.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation spokesman Roberto Kanapi announced, in a text message, that the company will increase LPG prices by P2.25 per kilogram. The increase is however reportedly exclusive of Value-Added Tax and would take effect 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.

Kanapi said the increase is “to reflect the increase in international contract prices.”

Liquigaz Philippines Corporation meanwhile announced an increase of P4.00 per kilogram on its LPG products also effective Tuesday. The Liquigaz increase meanwhile is inclusive of VAT meaning an increase of P44 per 11-kilogram tank. With a report from Alvin Elchico, ABS-CBN News
