MANILA, Philippines – Portions of Roxas Boulevard and Taft Avenue were closed on Sunday to give way to the bar examinations being held at De La Salle University along Taft Avenue in Manila.

The road closures were also done because of the “Alay Lakad ng Kabataan” at the Rizal Park. The Alay Lakad 2010 is a walkathon for out of school youth.

According to Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit chief Superintendent Rizaldy Yap, the southbound lane of Taft Avenue from President Quirino Avenue to Pablo Ocampo Street will be closed from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The northbound and southbound lanes of Roxas Boulevard have also been closed, including P. Burgos to Lagusnilad on Taft Avenue, T.M. Kalaw, and Ayala corner Finance streets.

Additional traffic enforcers and policemen have been deployed in these areas. – Report from ANC

Parang walang sense. Bakit

Parang walang sense. Bakit kailangang bantayan ng mga tao ang mga nag-i-exam. Para tuloy marami tayong mga pinoy na ginagawang pagsa-sayang ng oras, sa halip na gumawa ng mas-paki-pakinabang. Napapansin ko lang.
