Floods hit parts of EDSA, Manila
MANILA – Sudden downpour on Friday afternoon triggered floods in some parts of Metro Manila, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.
Gutter-deep floods hit portions of EDSA, particularly at the Aurora tunnel, Ortigas service road, and Megamall (northbound).
Gutter-deep floods were also experienced in Lagusnilad in Manila.
Ankle-deep floods hit Aroceros St. near the city hall.
Weather bureau PAGASA said the rains were caused by a thunderstorm that affected Metro Manila, Pampanga, portions of Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Quezon, and Bulacan. -- With a report from Zyann Ambrosio, ABS-CBN News
