Dentist risks losing license over 'failed implant'
MANILA -- A dentist in Timog, Quezon City risks losing his license to practice after an alleged failed dental implant procedure on a Chinese patient.
Based on the administrative case filed by Santos Pre Ang against Dr. Noel Velasco before the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the dental implant procedure done by the dentist in 2008 failed.
Ang demanded that the dentist give him a P1 million refund.
However, he said that instead of giving him a refund, Velasco and two other men just challenged him to a fist fight and even shouted expletives at him when he and his son, Eric, went to the dentist's office last April 26.
This prompted Ang to file a criminal case against Velasco before the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Charges of grave threat were filed against Velasco and a certain Alberto Pagsacala and Atty. Velasco. -- Report from Alex Calda, dzMM
